Situated in Alpharetta GA (30022), Belgian Touch Photography serves Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Roswell, Duluth, Norcross, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, and the Northern metro Atlanta area.

Being from another country (if you don’t remember my story, I am Belgian and my first language is French), I find it fascinating to discover my new territory (North Fulton, Alpharetta, GA). Every place is different, but Georgia sure has a lot to offer. Wildlife, and greenery help me take natural portraits that have a timeless feel to them. This summer, I have decided to find cool spots with nice settings to take pictures of my wonderful clients. I do some research on the web and then decide to check it out.

I love nature, and this place that my daughter and I discovered has it all. There is beautiful lighting, some wild and untouched nature, a barn with fantastic wood texture, a rusty gate, and sinuous paths that lead into the woods. I fell in love with the location and I am sure you nature lovers will too for you next outdoor photo session! It was really hot that day and I have to thank my daughter for being such a good sport!

I snapped a few shots because I was very excited about this new shooting location that I had just found and I wanted to show you all what this place looked like.

So I guess that’s enough talking and I will let you decide if that destination could be you next picture location with me. Enjoy the pictures and à bientôt for our next exciting adventure!

After thinking a long time about the whole blogging concept, I have decided that it is time for me to put myself out there and share with the world (I hope it is OK if I call you the world) what I do and who I am.

My name is Sophie De Backer and I am originally from Belgium. I speak French, I am a passionate girl and whatever I do, I do it fully!

Photography has been in my life since my early teens, when my dad gave me my first camera for Christmas. Then, life went on, I came to the US to learn English, then to Spain to learn Spanish. I mastered in Psychology in Belgium, got married to the best man ever, took over the family business (coffee roasters and tea importers), had a baby (this wonderful baby is going to be 18 in August), moved to the US, in Alpharetta, GA…with a camera. A whole new life, a whole new world around me. So many things to photograph!

Somewhere in that journey, I realized that taking pictures made me happy, really happy, especially pictures of people. There is something magical about a beautiful portrait. It wakes up the child in me, it makes my heart beat and it puts twinkles in my eyes. One day, as I looked at a picture I had taken of my growing daughter, I realized  I needed to share that passion with others. I wanted to be the one behind the picture that makes YOUR heart beat!  It was a revelation, I wanted to become a photographer. I have done online classes, trainings and workshops and voilà!

I have truly been so excited about this new journey and I can’t wait to share it with all of you. So, stay tuned for many exciting things to come and many new adventures. I can’t wait for you to be part of it.

As we say in French – A bientôt!!
